Gallery: The Short history of the Autobiroue.

One of the many early Cabin Motorcycles, (see also Dalnik) the French Autobiroue was built in the early to late fifties by Robert Ligier and used various Labretta bits and pieces in its early construction. Its body was hand hammered over a series of tubes and used a rear engine setup.

The history of the Autobiroue is still being traced and the progress of this remarkable machine-and the Ligiers family involvement can be seen at the Autobiroue blog.

(above) Mr Ligier (we can assume) tries out the Autobiroue on the ground of his estate.
