Daniel Chambers Trike Project.

Via: djm chambers

"(My aim was to) to design a consumer product of choice and produce exploded assembly views and animations to present the concept.

When the project was set, I owned a 1978 Yamaha XS750 motorcycle. Being shaft driven, it was ideal for conversion to a trike, so I used the project as a feasibility study. The aim was to produce a visually striking machine using as many of the original bike components as possible and capitalising on recently gained composites experience.

The style of the trike was to be a low, short and aggressive cruiser. A carbon fibre tank and seat were designed to accentuate the style, with heavy shoulders and undercuts. In order to keep fabrication costs down, the trike was lowered at the front by designing new raked yokes and pushing the stanchions further through."
